First off that would be selfish on your part as there are TOO MANY Journey fans out there that are STILL enjoying their music and paying and spending THEIR money, not YOURS, to see these guys perform live and buy their latest CD/DVD package (if you haven't heard it, do yourselves a favor and BUY it NOW!!!), I guarantee that you'll enjoy it! All hit songs, no fillers at all, it's the best that they've come up with since the Escape album.
Secondly, Steve Perry as much as ALL of Journey fandom loves him, is not coming back anytime soon, so stop spreading rumors that he is, and for your sake, don't wait any longer as you might be waiting forever, just hop back on the bandwagon and enjoy the Journey to Rock heaven!
Thirdly, this is for those who still have prejudices, biased, are bigots and stereotyping individuals who may not admit to it but who knew exactly who and what they are, yeah, you.... get over it!!!! Slavery is over and racial superiority is now a sick malady of the past and have no place in this present internet connected global community.
Fourth, what is your problem, again, for those who are concerned, with people getting discovered through the internet (YouTube, My Space, Friendsters, etc.). Wake up already! This is how it's gonna be folks, and there ain't nothing you can do about it. So get on with it! Most of your present and future entertainers will be using this medium to be discovered, and rightfully so.
Last, KARAOKE ROCKS!!!! Yeah, Karaoke is a damn good thing! In fact, this is the best thing that's ever happened to the music industry and the entertainment world as a whole. Thru Karaoke, more people are discovering their singing talents that they never could without the advent of the K machine. Today's Karaoke stars will be tomorrows Big Stage Stars, and again, there ain't nothing you can do about it.

Steve Perry is original. If you're open minded you can move on. Nobody said journey is replacing Steve Perry, let's just say his not coming back so...the journey must go on without him the band as a whole is not getting younger but yet they still love to play the music and tour. Having new lead singer is nice too don't be critical. Want my suggestion? Why don't you insist and audition yourself next year, submit your video etc.....who know's you might be the most awaiting potential who will not be judge by and compared by Steve Perry coz yeah you're just that good!.

Purpleponz is right, without Steve and the raw emotion and passion singing those wonderful songs, there is no Journey. I was in high school when I first heard that beautiful voice and have been a fan ever since, including his solo work I travel long distances in my car a couple times a month and it is Steve Perry and Journey the entire time. Whoever rides with me has to listen to Journey...but I never hear any complaints. I'm not getting any younger either and would love to hear Steve sing again with or without Journey!
Well, I have been playing Journey now for 2 days straight in my car, and ya know. I love Neal Schon, and incredible talent, but gosh without the passion of Steve Perry singing those lyrics......there aint nothing else like it. Steve, I love my City by the Bay too, but for gosh sakes......none of us are getting any younger.....come back to the band and rock it one more time !!! Love you guys
Ok..........Things have become very strange........A lounge singer with a terrible band has become the lead singer of Journey........Now from what I heard on U-Tube he does have the power and the range to sing the songs, and Mr. Schon and Mr. Cain will have to work with him a lot to get him show ready, but what a way to find him.........U-Tube?.......Now I didn't like JSS at the lead, but I went anyway, and I will do the same again.......But Mr Schon, are we as fans going to go through this every year?......S Perry or S Augeri seem to be the concensus..........But it is your band sir, and as long as ya'll keep cranking them out, we will keep coming.

Why can't they now admit that they have become a mostalgia act? No offense to their talent...I saw them live with JSS and thought he was great. But now...I think it's time for the party to officially end.
NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO STEVE PERRY I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY (JOURNEY) WENT ON WITHOUT STEVE PERRY ALTHOUGH THEY WERE FAMOUS BEFORE HE CAME ALONG, HE MADE THE BAND WHAT THEY ARE TODAY SPECIAL TO ALL OF US ESPECIALLY THE DEVOTED ONES WHO TRULY KNOW WHAT MUSIC IS ABOUT.
As much as we all would love for Perry to come back,its not gonna happen...Journey needs to BEG, Augeri to come back..make a new record..and tour with a more humane tour schedule so his voice would not blow out again...my 2 cents
